We’d like to especially thank our sponsors, Lane Powell PC and Foster Pepper PLLC. Others interested in sponsoring our event to help cover the costs so more dollars go directly toward our mission, click here for more information. Thanks to our generous sponsors:
We’re excited to have as our featured speaker Ben Petrick, former Colorado Rockies major league baseball player. Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at the age of 22, Ben, now 34, played five years with a PD diagnosis before the disease forced him to retire. Having recently undergone deep brain stimulation surgery and lived with his father, who also has PD, Ben will give us insight into both how early onset PD affects one’s life as well as his hopes and dreams for what an assisted living residence should be if he needs such a service in his (hopefully far-off) future. Noted Auctioneer Sharon Friel is serving as our honorary chair.
In 2011 we’re ramping up our fundraising to secure the property, negotiate with potential partners, and begin the building process. We’re exploring the possibility holding an additional, less formal fundraising event, and welcome suggestions or willingness to host a gathering on behalf of the Parkinson’s Project. Contact Julia Kittross or call 206-682-2848 if you’re interested.
